Simple & elegant remains ever popular for wedding cakes, such as this simply iced cake with graduated ribbons and diamante buckles & topper. Lovely comment from the bride afterwards too:
"Just wanted to say a very big thank you for the wonderful wedding cake you made us. It was just as I imagined if not better. I'm gutted that I never got to try a piece but I was informed by others that it was delicious. Once again thank you"

I love this wedding cake with filigree flowers; simple & chic for a modern wedding. It also has one tier covered with 23 carat edible gold leaf for a really extravagant touch
These two book cakes were commissioned by the publisher to celebrate their launches
Been very lax in my posting, so here's a birthday cake from December! More to follow as I catch up in the next few days.
Been a while since I posted! Happy new year everyone :o)
Here's a 1920s themed wedding cake I did for a new year's eve wedding:
Peony & lace wedding cake - this would work beautifully in multiple tiers for a larger wedding
This dragonflies cake was for a birthday, but would work equally well for a wedding cake I think.
I'm a finalist in both the Essex Wedding Awards and the Wedding Industry Awards, for the 2nd year running!
This wedding cake is covered in white chocolate paste, the calla lilies are also made from white chocolate. Yum!
This wedding cake has to be one of my all time favourites - it was so much fun to create!
The sorting hat and books are cakes, the owl is made from the same modelling paste as my bride & groom toppers.
Huge congratulations to Emily & James on their fantastic medieval-themed wedding with a large dollop of Harry Potter thrown in! And special thanks for this lovely feedback they sent me afterwards:
Just a quick email as I take a breather before packing the car for the honeymoon. We wanted say a huge thank you for the cake. It looked amazing and the comments we had were spectacular with lots of people saying the cake boss on tv needs to watch out as your creation was fantastic. People actually thought they were the real sorting hat and books. The glasses were a brilliant touch, but for me the owl bought tears to my eyes...
It was a crying shame when we cut in to the book, but there is nothing left as every piece of all the cakes went! It was delicious... we felt you had gone above and beyond and it was stunning.
Again, thank you so much
Emily & James"
This film star birthday cake was for a very showbiz lady, featuring edible images of her life on the stage so far!
These cute bears were very personal for this couple's diamond wedding anniversary cake.
Loving these coordinated wedding favour cookies, especially the wedding dress & waistcoat to match the bride & groom!
Wish we had smellyvision - the smell of chocolate from this wedding cake was amazing!

I received some wonderful comments from the brides that voted for me in the Wedding Industry Awards! See them all here.
Oh my... I'm in the regional finals for another award! This time voted for by my customers rather than a panel of judges, which means so much more :O)
So thrilled that I've reached the finals for 'Wedding Cake Designer of the Year' in the Essex Wedding Awards 2013. Winners will be announced at the end of November. How exciting! :oD
Edible lace is one of the latest wedding cake trends. You can see why - it's so pretty!
I adore this peacock bird cage wedding cake - everything is edible except his crest!

This version of my red carpet wedding cake features the bride dragging her groom up the stairs!
This toy box cake was for a 2nd birthday, and features replicas of the birthday boy's own toys in icing. I'm told he even tried to play with the replica computer at the front!
The brief for this wedding cake was 'OTT, maximum bling & as tall as possible'. The cake is over 4ft tall! Only 2 tiers of it are actual cake, the rest was just for show.
I absolutely adore this baby shower cake - it was great fun to make and looks so cute! Absolutely everything is edible.
This novelty cake was commissioned by the publisher for the launch of their author's first book. They even sent me a signed copy of the book afterwards as a thank you!

Recently added lots of new cookie designs - take a look. The peacock feather is my favourite!
This flower cascade wedding cake was 6 tiers of alternating chocolate & vanilla sponges, swathed in black & white sugar flowers.
Just added these Mothers Day cupcake bouquets. These bouquets lend themselves to all sorts of flowers, what would you fancy?
Just done this fabulous chocolate feathered wedding cake - decorated entirely in Belgian chocolate paste, with strawberry-flavoured chocolate roses. It even smells chocolatey!
Just added these to my wedding cakes page. Both are decorated entirely using Belgian chocolate / chocolate paste
Just added this airplane cake for the 40th birthday of an ex-stewardess. To give an idea of size, the board it's on is 20x20in, & the cake is 40-50 portions.
