Just done this fabulous chocolate feathered wedding cake - decorated entirely in Belgian chocolate paste, with strawberry-flavoured chocolate roses. It even smells chocolatey!

Had a really busy day at Prested Hall wedding fair on Sunday - tiring though!

Just added this airplane cake for the 40th birthday of an ex-stewardess. To give an idea of the size of the plane, the board it's on is 20in x 20in, and the cake will give 40-50 portions.

2012 is already filling up fast - the following weeks are now fully booked for wedding cakes (dates shown are week ending) :

This novelty cake was for a crossword fan. The crossword clues & answers are personalised & the mug is a replication of the recipient's favourite mug. As always, everything is edible  :O)

Spent a mad weekend Christmas baking!  :O)

This is a casino cake I did for a James Bond-themed 18th birthday party. The roulette wheel & board are anatomically correct (to the best of my knowledge!) and even the gun & diamonds are edible.

When this customer came to collect her circus birthday cake and coordinating circus cookies for her son's 1st birthday, I asked why she'd come all the way to me from London (in nightmare Friday evening rush hour traffic too) when there are so many cake makers more local to her. She said that she'd looked around for ages before deciding on me as she liked my cakes the best. What a lovely compliment!  :O)

Finally... I am moving!  From 1st October I'll be based in Sible Hedingham, Essex 

Just booked onto an airbrushing course in August - wish it was sooner as I'm not good at waiting! Look out for lots more airbrushed designs after that when I get carried away ;O) ... In the meantime, check out my Autumn Leaves wedding cake which was done this way.

Most popular colour scheme for weddings at the moment seems to be overwhelmingly purple! Although you might not think so to look at the wedding cakes currently on my site, orders on my books already as far as 2012 are purple, purple & more purple, from lilac to Cadbury.

Still hoping to move to Suffolk/Essex asap, have found a place to buy but haven't yet managed to sell - property market seems to be dead right now. Doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere before Christmas at this rate  :O(

Been a busy week this week - had 3 cakes on the go including two wedding cakes & a birthday cake - but loved it  :O)

Recently had the 10,000th visitor to my site!

I still hate doing mini cakes... life's too short... but they do look good!

Now full for 2010 and taking wedding cake orders for 2011/2012.  Later this year I'll be relocating to Essex/Suffolk - hoping to be there well before Christmas!  If you're an existing customer though, don't worry, as I'll still be taking & fulfilling orders for Stevenage & surrounding areas   :O)
